we're the next Martha Stewart.
my birthday party is tomorrow!!!!! yay. honestly i still don't know why i'm excited bout it. i mean wat if it turns out to b an utter disaster??!! wait. scratch that. any time spent with my fam is definitely gonna an amazing time due to my uncles and aunties very very syiok-sendiri antics. :D seriously. heh.
well anyway, the past 2 days have been filled with lots and lots of packing up and emptying boxes and boxes of toys, books etc. it's been pretty depressing really. i mean how do i justify the fact that i want to keep ALL my soft toys?! there's only so many soft toys u can keep for ur kids rite. ha ha. but it's worked so far. and it's been taking a very very long time to pack everything up coz i tend to get sentimental ESPECIALLY when i find really really old photos which i intend to scan into the comp so that should i feel the sudden urge to blog about my oh so mysterious past i have pictures! :)
Jo came by on Wednesday to bake, try to convert me into a DBSK fan and to ultimately, catch up. goodness u should've heard her raving on and on about DBSK. *rolls eyes* i mean they're not bad la. heh. so ANYWAY we started baking around 1 and umm attempted to bake the most delicious chocolate chip cookies ever. so once everything was out, we started weighing the flour la dee da. so once we started mixing the eggs and everything else, we put the flour in only to realize much later that we'd "mix it too well" from youtube. eh our recipe was wrong la. seriously. the list of ingredients had peanut butter in it but they never told us WHEN to put it in. so HAH! dumb recipe or else we would've sooo kicked Martha Stewart's butt. i mean she makes it look so simple la. PFFFFTT.
my mum's very cool electric mixer which mixed the batter a bit "too well"

okay there's a very very good reason why there's a butter knife in the batter. umm we kinda forgot to "soften" the butter coz we put it in the fridge and it didn't actually mix properly with the sugar and everything so we had to use the butter knife to cut it up and like flatten it. so yea aren't we genius. :D

the final batter with all the choc chips which was too soft as u shall see later. heh.

Jo was trying to salvage the batter which i deemed unsalvage-able!

see that's what i mean. it became sorta cupcake-like and Jo added Hershey's choc syrup and icing sugar. ZOMG! ha ha

our 2nd batch which actually LOOKED like cookies but were still very inedible. :)

i mean it looks good right?!
we are sooo the next Martha Stewarts.just you wait. ;)
